Please see the questions below for answers to common inquiries we receive about medication management. Additionally, please keep in mind that these answers are broad statements. Provider's clinical models and interactions are tailored to fit your child specifically. Much like each child, providers bring their own unique styles and personalities. 

What is psychiatric medication management?

Simply put, psychiatric medication management is the act of initiating psychiatric medication and managing your progress via regular check-ins.

What can I expect for my first appointment?

​

Your brief consultation will determine if you are a good fit for services (most are). If you decide that you’d like to work with me then we can book a 60-90 minute initial intake where we get to know each other and discuss your goals of medication management.

 

Will I have to take medication I don't want to?

​

Absolutely not. You always have the right to refuse medication. If this is the case, we can work together to find alternative solutions.

Will I always be on medication?

​​

This is one of the most asked questions and the answer is a resounding NO! Nothing is permanent, and this fear holds a lot of people back from starting medication that can help them through a difficult season. There are a lot of psychiatric medications to choose from and some you can even take “as needed”. Whenever you feel you are ready we can begin the process of tapering off medication.

Do you accept insurance?

 

Yes, Natalie is in-network provider for the following insurance companies:

 

  • Anthem

  • Carefirst

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (PPO, HMO)

  • BCBS Federal Employee Program

  • United Healthcare/Optum

  • Cigna

Do you offer in-person or Telehealth appointments?

 

Currently all medication management sessions are held virtually. Sessions can be accessed via the "Telehealth" page.
